I just bought Intel NUC8I5BEH and have also really annoying problems with Ethernet Connection (6) I219-V (device id 15be). Tried to install ubuntu 18.04 LTS version which _should_ be compatible with that NIC but immediately couple of seconds after connectinc network cable (or loading kernel module) ping latency starts increase to couple hundreds or thousand ms. Also some packet loss starts to occur. I verified that compiling intel driver and loading that kernel module fixed this ping problem so most propably there is problem in kernel driver which is included in 18.04.
Could someone else confirm this finding and it's relation to kernel module (ubuntu/intel)? I would really appreciate if someone can reproduce this ping issue with ubuntu 18.04 so I can be sure that there is no hardware issue in my Intel NUC.
