Bug Description

mpt3sas (and earlier mptsas/mpt2sas) as shipped doesn't support ata secure erase:

/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-SATA_ST2000DL003-9VT1_XXXXXXX:
 Issuing SECURITY_ERASE command, password="Eins", user=user
The running kernel lacks CONFIG_IDE_TASK_IOCTL support for this device.
SECURITY_ERASE: Invalid argument

This already appears to be fixed upstream: https://lkml.org/lkml/2016/12/1/47

can we get it pulled into Ubuntu asap?

Thanks
