Bug Description
System shutdown does not complete, requiring a hard power-off to finish the shutdown.
On reboot, the last syslog entry visible from the shutdown is "Stopping Advanced key-value store...". This could be a red herring, however, because, prior to the recent dist-upgrade and the appearance of this bug, the last syslog line was either that or one message additional ("Stopping System Logging Service..."). That is to say, the syslog stop message did not appear on every shutdown.
