Bug Description

This remote has stopped working since 10.10 ,used to be detected as /dev/input/eventx but now there is no such entry in /proc/devices.

Same with Pinnacle 310i on Oneiric, like #748284 natty bug. There is a patch from Alex Volkov: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=617488

The kernel (media susbsystem), possibly wrong version....
