LightDM doesn't start

Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 dev with lightdm 1.6.0-0ubuntu2.1 0. On booting my system it will change to console 7 and the screen does go black. But after a few seconds this process stops and I'm seeing just text on console 7. Trying to manually start lightdm will result in the same behavior. If I'm installing GDM all is working fine. In the attachments is my Xorg.0.log.

What does make you think that this is fixed?

13.04 is no longer supported - please re-open if this occurs in newer versions of LightDM.

In that case setting the status to "Incomplete" would be more appropriate.

On testing this on Ubuntu 16.04 dev with lightdm 1.18.1-0ubuntu1 it does still not start.
