Bug Description
This is request, not a bug.
On Xubuntu 14.04, lightdm-gtk-greeter is used in in conjunction with light locker. When leaving the computer, user can hit ctrl+alt+del to lock the screen and thus stopping others from accessing the computer. However, all screens remain switched on for an indefinite amount of time. It would be preferable if the screen switch off automatically after a minute or so, or after a user-defined amount of time.

Hm, well the reason we didn't implement that (yet) is that DPMS support brings in an extra dependency and you can never know whether the hardware supports it.
Right now we do screenblanking only because that was less problematic (no extra dependency, no support problems).
I agree though that it is desirable to implement that (and it shouldn't be too difficult), so I guess we'll take care of that in one of the next releases.
