I think that box it's necessary, but the colours I think it's not the right one, maybe something more cool could be better |

Recent tendancy on the web (and Launchpad) has been to highlight input widgets that have unacceptable input with a bridge red border.
The highlighting used in light-themes is similar, providing the opportunity for confusion.
Ideally high-lighting should be done in a neutral way; traditionally this has been a dotted grey outline; or intensity increase. If the colouring needs to remain, ideally it should be a colour from the palette itself (eg. the new corporate orange). |
