Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

Outline around the scrollbar handle and the "grippy" element are slightly too dark - they would benefit from toning down a little bit, to bring them more in line with other theme elements.

A quick mockup with possible solution attached.

suggestion not supported. Diminishing contrast in this rather small window control is not preferable.

I agree the scrollbars should not be as obtrusive. I am working on some refinements to light-themes including the scrollbars. Let me know what you think of these? It does not overtake the UI of applications.

Good work! I like how they blend in but are still clearly pronounced. Less keen on the sharp gloss though.

dashua the arrows disappears and let a vacuum without filling. the contrast is to low for my gust. I really like the scrollbars from the initial release.

It would be a real win to use scrollbars from the theme engine instead of pixmaps. I fear this alters the design too much though.

I agree.  

A patch should not be that hard to add another 9 handles and an option to control the constrast of the handles.  The engine already allows control of the border shade and color the outline.

We have removed pixmap scrollbars from Dust and have received a lot of positive feedback.

Recent update fixed it - the outline is now just right
