Bug Description

Binary package hint: liferea

Applications should not show up in the indicator-applet messages listing if blacklisted (i.e., copy or link of the appropriate file in '/usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/' to '~/.config/indicators/messages/applications-blacklist/').

This method of turning off indicator messages per application does not seem to work for Liferea (1.6.3-1ubuntu4) on my system (Ubuntu 10.10). In comparison; other indicator-messages aware apps such as evolution, gwibber, etc., respond to the blacklisting.

I have also tested renaming the source file (/usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/liferea.indicator) and blacklist target to 'liferea' (without the '.indicator'), but without effect.

[note: having the option available to blacklist liferea indicator usage is helpful for liferea use with large numbers of feeds and frequent feed updating, which occasionally pushes the indicator-applet to 100% CPU usage for minutes while refreshing.]
