Bug Description

attaching debdiff.
also includes tweaks in the /debian folder

the size of 06_add_goom2k4.patch could be dropped by about 600KB if ubuntu bug #152528 was fixed. so far i've managed to expose the library so it can be built against, but the splitting isn't happening for me (lack of skill). all i've done to get that far with it was to remove the 3 or so lines from the debian/rules which remove those files.

This Debdiff 5.8MB tidies up the 90_reconf patch majorly. which is about 7/9's of the debdiff.
but please check the maths here.

1ubuntu3's diff.gz = 805KB
1ubuntu4's diff.gz = 238KB (no functionality lost while adding a 700KB visualization)
