Unable to start BIOS VMs since Linux 5.10

Bug Description

Since 5.10 trying to start any VM with BIOS fails on start. There are stucks on pause immediately after start. Unlike this all VMs on OVMF starts well.

5.10 took from here: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

Hi,
I'll try to recreate this early next week as time runs out today for me.
But to prep for that when you say "stucks on pause" does that mean that e.g. "virsh list" shows them as paused?

If that is the case, of one of the paused systems I'd expect some message in /var/log/libvirt/qemu/<guestname>.log. Could you have a look and post one of those logs please?

That is why your guests fail.

I was preparing a UEFI and a Bios guest on hirsute.

Working fine so far, then I upgraded all packages.

Working fine still
FYI - kernel was on 5.8.0-29-generic

Then I upgraded to 5.10.6-051006 from the mainline ppa.
(https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.10.6/)

Guests still working fine :-/

@Kernel Team do you know about any changes coming?
