soffice.bin crashed with SIGSEGV in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal()

Had some issues after a bad partial upgrade to unity 5, so I apt-get installed kubuntu-desktop from a recovery terminal and started playing with it.

This popped up after opening libreoffice writer, tweaking a few things and then closing it.
