LibreOffice Writer mail merge wizard needs Base to operate but there's no message

Bug Description
Ubuntu comes without LibreOffice Base by default.
In LibreOffice Writer, in Mail Merge wizard, at step 3, there's a window that allows you to select data sources. It does not work (basically, after selecting a file you cannot proceed) unless Base is installed.
Expected behaviour:
LibreOffice prompting about installing Base, in the same way it does when you want to run Bibliography Wizard
