Seems it crashes in print-camera-list.

Can you please open a Terminal window, and type:

  /usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list hal-fdi > /dev/null

Does this print anything? If so, please copy&paste it here. If it crashes (which I expect), please file the crash through the apport crash reporter and mention the bug number here. Thank you!

Hubert,

you are currently a "package bug contact" for libgphoto2, you were not subscribed to this bug with the "Subscribe" functions. Right now, launchpad doesn't allow users to unsubscribe from some bugs from their package bug contact list, I'm afraid.
