Following upgrade to 17.10 gphoto2 reports0.044006 ptp_usb_getresp [usb.c:466] (0): PTP_OC 0x1016 receiving resp failed: PTP Device Prop Not Supported (0x200a)
0.044010 camera_prepare_capture [config.c:486](0): 'ptp_setdevicepropvalue (params, 0xd207, &propval, PTP_DTC_UINT16)' failed: PTP Device Prop Not Supported (0x200a)

Manually installing the libgphoto2 2.5.16 package in the bionic-proposed repo fixed this issue for me. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libgphoto2/2.5.16-1
