Bug Description
this has happened for the last few versions of (x)ubuntu, still exists in 12.04.
gphoto2 talks to canon 40D over USB in PTP mode. Most things work, but "delete file" (-d) or any command leading to a delete (eg --capture-
* the operation does not wok
* gphoto2 will not work again
* weirdly my wifi USB card stops working and won't be coaxed back into life without a reboot.
I get the same problem deleting a file on the camera using gphotofs
Today I found a fix -- fetched libgphoto2-2.4.14 and gphoto2-2.4.14 from sources and compiled (against libusb-1.0.0)
and I can cheerfully delete files without destroying my network.
I don't understand the procedures involved, but can we please get this version of libgphoto2 into (x)ubuntu?
thanks
