Incorrect example in rename (perl version) man page

Bug #1768150 reported by Mathieu Dubois

Bug Description

The man page for rename(1p) states that:

  rename 's/\e.bak$//' *.bak

will rename all files matching "*.bak" to strip the ".bak" extension (see attachment).

This example doesn't work as the '\e' is not needed at all.

This affects at least the version in Ubuntu 16.04 (but not the version in 14.04).

This was fixed upstream in 0.30, and the fix is contained in Debian
(in the 0.35-1 upload), so at some point this will reach Ubuntu as
well in a future sync.

Cheers,
