This is a bug in GTK in that it is the one rendering the label. We could definitely fix it though for people who come through dbus menu. I'm curious how we could handle items that already have tooltips on them though.

Wishlist for now. I'm not sure that it shouldn't be higher priority for devices like netbooks.
