Usually this means the macro was only invoked conditionally.
(passing --enable-tests works around it)
Also, I should point out this belongs on the 'upstream' bug tracker which libdbusmenu doesn't seem to have enabled on launchpad.
Here's a trivial patch that makes sure the macro is called unconditionally.
