Thanks for the report. Is the problem occurring regularly or was it just a transient one?

It might be due to some error preventing D-Bus from starting correctly.

For some reason, dbus is not running, and landscape-client needs it.

Either we killed it, or something else did. We do call "dbus reload" in postinst. If that kills dbus, that's a serious dbus bug.

This just started happening after the b2 updates for me. Not sure what changed, but previously I had not been receiving any problems with ls monitor/manager. Now both are crashing. Do we need to open a bug with dbus? Is this an issue that is caused by timing?

landscape-client is a bit sensitive to dbus. We are working on a branch which gets rid of the dbus dependency and should remove this problem.

The landscape-client packages in -proposed fix this by dropping dbus.
