Bug Description

Binary package hint: landscape-client

Right now if you run dpkg-reconfigure landscape-client, it will ask you for details of your landscape account, but ignores them. It needs to call landscape-config to register the client.

landscape-config is being called by debian/landscape-client.postinst, but the settings are still ignored. debian/landscape-client.postinst first checks for the existence of /etc/landscape/client.conf. If it exists, it does not read any debconf settings and reuses the existing client.conf file.

If the client.conf file exists, the postinst script should back up the file and write a new one.

This change in lp:~jseutter/landscape-client/backup-client-conf was reverted in lp:~free.ekanayaka/landscape-client/package-fixes because it was introducing subtle problems.
