Bug Description
Binary package hint: knetstats
When monitoring an interface using knetstats, clicking on the tray icon shows a little window titled "details of <interface>". It shows some real-time statistics like upload and download speed, as well as the amount of data received and transmitted.
Unfortunately, when reaching 4096 MB, the "Received" counter is reset and starts from zero again. This basically makes the counter completely useless as there is no way to know how often this has already happened and therefore how much data has been received. See attached ogg/theora video for a true multimedia bug experience.
If this is caused by some lower level (kernel?) counter being reset, then knetstats should be able to detect this and display the correct statistics anyway.
Kubuntu feisty, knetstats 1.6-0ubuntu1.
