Bug Description
Binary package hint: kino
After installing kino in karmic with apt-get install kino, sound (and normal replay) was not working in kino with the error message that /dev/dsp was not available. Checking the device revealed that the rights were limited to root:audio rw-rw---. After adding the desktop user to the audio group with vigr and vigr -s and logging in anew, it works ok.
Two possible solutions:
Adding the current user to group audio during kino install in kino.postinst.
Defining a desktop group which has rights on the device and make the desktop users members of that group.
