Calculator key does not launch KCalc

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdeutils

On most OSs, pressing the calculator key on an extended keyboard (keysym XF86Calculator) launches the calculator accessory. This used to be the case on KUbuntu as well, but since at least Karmic, and now with Lucid, nothing happens. Can this key be mapped to KCalc by default, and remappable to Speedcrunch if it is installed?

yeah, I can confirm that it still does not work on 11.10

it is not possible to fix it manually is it?

It would be nice if Kcalc had been started when pressing calculator keyboard button.

I am finding this issue as well after a clean install of archlinux along with kcalc.

Settings->Shortcuts->"Global Shortcuts"->"KDE Daemon"->Calculator IS set to "Launch (1)" which IS correct, but still won't launch.

Adding in "Custom Shortcuts", Edit->New->"Global Shortcut"->Command/URL using "Launch (1)" and running "kcalc" DOES work.

I'm trying to assign a hotkey to run kcal directly but it don't work (it works actualy for others app)
