system freeze on suspend

Bug Description
Binary package hint: kernel-package
9.10 (karmic - with all updates as of today) freezes my computer when I select the "Suspend" menu item. Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, and Ctrl-Alt-Del have no effect. The only way out seems to be rebooting the computer with a hard reset/power cycle. I'll attach the output of "dmesg" and "lspci -vvnn".
