Bug Description

KDE 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0) crashes when i select as wallpaper type Globo, Then if i try to open desktop activity setting it crashes again and i can't wallpaper setting. I've to remove current activity desktop and open a new one. In this way i can restore setting.

System: Host kubuntu Kernel 2.6.31-17-386 i686 (32 bit) Distro Ubuntu 9.10 karmic

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

I've reported this bug here https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226545 and they said to me to report this bug here because there is a missing dependences in plasma-wallpapers-addons by kdeedu* packages. This missing dependencies causes the crash of plasma-desktop.

Does the crash start to occur if you remove the marble package?

Could you paste the output of "apt-cache policy libmarble4" and apt-cache policy "libmarble-data". Those are the only two packages that are required for the wallpaper to work, and installing plasma-wallpapers-addons does install those two.
