kshisen sho lags when sound is enabled

Bug Description

DO : enable sound on KShisen (this is the default, with Settings menu > Enable sound)
DO : remove a pair of tiles.
EXPECT : the removal should be almost immediate
ACTUAL : the game lags for something like 30 seconds before removing the tiles.

DO : repeat the same actions with sound disabled.
ACTUAL : tile removal is immediate.

This bug also affects the amd_64 release. I am using a Dell Precision 370 with 4 GB DDR2 RAM, 3.4 GHZ CPU and have Kubuntu Precise installed on an 80 gig 10,000 RPM WD hard drive. I also have 750 GB Home directory. So, lots of "elbow room", as it were.
I too have found that KShisen is much faster with sound disabled, however it does pause for 5 to 10 seconds here and there.
Hoping this information is useful to the 'bug squashers'? Thanks kindly.

I had a friend who had trouble with Shishen Sho being slow in KDE 4.8.3 and 4.8.4 in Ubuntu 12.04. Updating to KDE 4.9 fixed the problem.
