kde4.2 install failed: dependency problems

System: Kubuntu 8.10 AMD-64 (kdebase selected as I'm not sure which of the several packages mentioned should really be selected)

This APPEARS to have installed everything, but I'm raising this bug before logging out while I've got all the information available on-screen. If I find further problems after re-starting X, I'll report back.
