If pulseaudio dies during a Kubuntu session, Kubuntu hangs on shutdown. This is very easily re-created by:

1. log in
2. open a terminal
3. type: pulseaudio -k; pulseaudio
(restarts pulseaudio)
4. try and log out. It will hang.
