record button not responding until pressed twice

When following these steps ↓ it is not possible to record by just pressing once the 'Record' button.
After pressing it once the button status changes and looks like a pressed button but only responds correctly when pressed again.

to reproduce:
· launch Kazam
· press 'Record Region'
· move the select region window
· press ENTER
· press the 'Record' button
