Bug Description
Search does not work correctly when using vi mode in Kate, using the standard Kate package in Kubuntu (version 3.8.5) from 4:4.8.5-0ubuntu0.1 (precise-updates). Once a search has been initiated using '/', the 'n' or 'N' commands should proceed to the next or previous occurrence, however these keys have no effect. I have ticked the following options under 'Vi Input Mode' from the Kate configuration dialog: 'Use Vi input mode', 'Let VI commands override Kate shortcuts', 'Hide the Vi mode status bar'.
I have reproduced this on two different machines with Kubuntu 12.04 LTS. I can fix the problem by compiling Kate from source. The problem appears to be resolved in Kubuntu 13.04.
