Bug Description
This bug is SEVERE and makes life extremely difficult for laptop users. After a fresh install of the Karmic Release Candidate, I found that wireless did not work "out of the box" like it did in Jaunty. I figured I'd be able to install the wireless drivers via the install CD, but no dice there, because hardware drivers did NOT show anything at all for installing drivers - it merely said "No proprietary drivers are in use on this system" and it didn't offer any drivers at all to install.
So I plugged in an ethernet cable, used my internet connection to install bcmwl-kernel-
I hope that the team will fix this problem and make wireless work out of the box like it did in Jaunty and Intrepid.
