Bug Description

I believe my Kinetic system installed iwd with updates today, and now I am unable to my University's WPA2 Enterprise network eduroam. There is a no graphical error message, it just never connects. I tried forgetting the network and re-adding, and again there's no error, but no connection is established. Looking in the Logs app, I see messages like "Failed to add new connection: (5) 802.1x connections must have IWD provisioning files".

Today's updates included network-manager 1.40.0-1ubuntu2, and after `apt autopurge` iwd was removed. This wi-fi network connection is working again normally since.

Reopening as suggested on the Ubuntu forum, so this issue can be looked at before iwd becomes default.

As I noted in the forum post (https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/call-for-testing-improved-wifi-via-iwd/17795/82), I see on e.g. the Arch wiki that iwd does support WPA Enterprise (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/iwd#WPA_Enterprise), but by creating a config file, not through the GUI.

I also cannot connect to a WPA2 Enterprise network (TTLS, MSCHAPv2) through GUI, but by creating a config file.
