Bug Description
My System-
I have done tests manually setting the packet size below 1497 and I get external traces, but the default setting seems to mean the UDP packets sent by this tool just cannot pass through my network (and others if some posts in the Ubuntu forums are to be believed).
Either the default needs to be set to a sensible value - what is the point of massive packet sizes just to trace a path? - or the user needs some method of setting this value via the gnome-nettool package.
