Bug Description
Sir,
I just assembled a new PC with Core 2 Quad Q8400 Processor on Intel DG41RQ motherboard. After installing Windows XP, I started installing Ubuntu 9.10 with its boot disk (Installation was not inside Windows.) . I tried twice, it did not install. However, it took a very long time to show up Ubuntu desktop without going through the installation steps. Monitor used is HCL 18.5" LCD display.
Later I installed Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition. It installed correctly up to command prompt. However, desktop version needs to be debugged.
Some of my students reported such problems on their laptops.
In some of the laptops, the touch pad mouse did not work after installation of Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop edition.
Regards,
Satish
