Glyphs dialog: initial height of glyph list too small with Ubuntu's overlay scrollbars

Bug Description

In menu Text > Glyphs, Font Glyphs doesn't work. There is no character appear at all.

The version being use is the latest Inscape Trunk from PPA. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit, updated to the latest version.

Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r11417 on OS X 10.7.4

Did you try to vertically resize (enlarge) the dialog?
Probably another issue with Ubuntu's scrollbar overlay (bug #884368).

 It's as ~suv (suv-lp) said, it got overlay by Ubuntu's scrollbar. I have to drag glyphs panel out and resize it as a window instead, there is no way I can do vertically resize in the panel.

But I feel like the space for characters in glyphs panel should have maximum size in height relatively to screen size. I don't found this issue in Inkscape on Ubuntu Software Center.

At the bottom of the docked dialog is a handle - grab it and drag it downwards to increase the height of the dialog window: this will also increase the height of the scrollable window with the glyphs.

Reproduced on Ubuntu 12.10, Inkscape 0.48+devel r11772: the initial height of the list of glyphs is minimal (due to no scrollbar elements provided by the Gtk theme).

Works better if launching Inkscape without the overlay scrollbars:
$ LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 inkscape
