Indicator power doesn't show an icon for a media player, it just shows the missing icon symbol. The media player is an iPod Touch 2G.

KyL416, thanks for reporting this.

Could you attach the iPod Touch 2G section of the output that "upower --dump" gives you when run from the command line?

The problem is worse with indicator-power 12.10.6+14.04.20140328-0ubuntu1 after they implemented the changes described in the following bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-power/+bug/880881

Since for whatever reason they decided to treat laptop batteries the same as other devices that report battery strength like iPods, I just get the missing icon symbol as the indicator.
