hud doesn't respect gnome-terminal "enable menu access keys" settings

Bug Description

gnome-terminal's menus are generally not very interesting compared to interacting with programs inside the terminal, so it has a "enable menu access keys" option that turns off Alt and Alt-f etc, and also a 'show menubar' option.

However, Ubuntu's HUD enters the menu when I tap Alt, regardless of these settings.
