Bug Description
I have been working (with Hugin) on images that can get rather long (or high, presumably).
I had a problem with my Blu-Ray player not showing an image that seemed almost identical to one id did show, and thought I'd try to see what was different about the two...
I used identify to try and see the specs of the respective images, and was surprised to see an "error" message about width or height exceeding maximums.
I eventually found that I could modify policy.xml to increase the size maximums, but only after googling and searching around. Nothing printed in the terminal indicated that I could do anything about solving the problem myself, and that it was not in fact a bug.
Display was even worse - When I selected it from the context menu, the ImageMagick logo and wizard were shown, but nothing else ever happened.
I think some sort of window or text (depending on whether the programs were launched from the terminal or GUI), should appear that either directly suggests changing policy.xml, or lists a website that tells/shows how to solve the issue.
Not saying something seems to tell the user that the program has a bug, or that there is nothing to be done about the problem.
