Bug Description
Binary package hint: ibus
Even when the user has activated "Use system keyboard layout setting", IBUS uses a QWERTY en layout (my default system layout it fr alternative) for the "French - AZERTY".
Steps to reproduce the bug:
Install Karmic with a different layout than the default (for example AZERTY). Activate IBUS input, then set the "Use system keyboard layout setting" on.
The default system layout will be used for inputing "Chinese - Pinyin", but not for "French - azerty". Typing the A letter produces a Q key when using "azerty", even though the right letter (A) appears when using "Pinyin".

It looks like the option is hard to understand. I also miss understood it until a few seconds ago. If you enable it, it will use the system wide keyboard settings, which seem to be the US English keyboard layout. If you disable it, it will use the settings of your user account, which are French/ German/ whatever.
Please remove the option from the settings. Anyone who wants to change this can use the gconf-editor!
