Almost impossible to tell which tab is active in firefox, nautilius, gnome-terminal, etc. with NewHuman theme

Theme looks slick but is very frustrating to use long term because of the problem Tom describes above. I really think this should be fixed before intrepid if you guys intend to use this theme as the default theme. Thanks.

I will see to it that the community themes package is updated after release.

This does not appear to be an issue anymore in Intrepid, or in Jaunty development.

Could you post a screenshot? This still seems to be an issue for me in Intrepid. Note that this applies to the DarkRoom theme (which was renamed from NewHuman, I believe).

Here we go - it seems pretty apparent which tab is active. I think this bug should be closed, but if it's going to remain open, the description needs to be changed. Does the DarkRoom theme still fall under the human-theme package? Please let me know what you think.

Hmm, I don't have that - that definitely looks much better. I have:

That is that latest version of human-theme. I suppose problems could exist if your current install is carried over from development. Have you tried re-installing the human-theme package? If not, let's try, but please don't remove from apt-get as ubuntu-desktop depends on human-theme.
   sudo dpkg --force-depends --purge human-theme
   sudo apt-get install human-theme
You may need to restart your X session to see if the change takes effect. Does it seem better?

Perhaps you could try a Jaunty LiveCD and see if the problem exists there, I expect the theme should be available from the live environment. Although the version is the same as in Intrepid, since using a LiveCD means you don't need to make any further changes to your current setup, it would be interesting to see the results anyway. It's a small theme tweak. Unbelievable that it's been irritating people since 2008.
