printer prints mirrored pages

After update to Ubuntu 23.04 (Lunar), my HP Color Laserjet CP1515n prints all pages mirrored.
the problem gets even stranger when I select the "print mirrored" option in the printing dialog: Then, the first, third, fifth … pages get printed correctly, but the second, fourth, sixth … pages are *still* mirrored.

The problem appeared in Lunar (hplip 3.22.10+dfsg0-1) and was not present in Kinetic (hplip 3.22.6+dfsg0-1).
