Hibernate just gives me the lockscreen, does nothing

When I attempt to hibernate my computer in Ubuntu 12.10 (that also goes for Ubuntu 11.10, and have never worked on any of my 2 laptops), the screen goes black, and if i move the mouse or press a key, I just get the lockscreen.

So in other words, Hibernate = lock computer for me.

I'll post dmesg, kernel log etc a bit later.
