Bug Description
I had an up to date install of Ubuntu 20.04 (as of 1st April), I had used Handbrake several times successfully.
I then install Xubuntu core over the top.
Handbrake still opens but upon selecting the DVD source, it crashes. Instead of loading/processing.

I repeated the above with fresh 20.04 install (Gnome), and get the same issue.
