Bug Description

Binary package hint: gwibber

My facebook stream seems to be totally stopped in Gwibber. Neither I am able to post any updates nor the I am getting any new updates. Currently my facebook stream shows 7 days old updates.

Ubuntu 10.10
Gwibber version: Installed: 2.32.2-0ubuntu2
                                 Candidate: 2.32.2-0ubuntu2

What you expected to happen: I expected my updates to be posted on facebook, and also to get updates from there.

What happened instead: On posting updates to facebook, the message seems to be sent successfully without any error or anything, but on checking my facebook account in browser, there is nothing posted. Although, updates are posted on twitter without any problem.
And as far as my current facebook stream in gwibber, is concerned, the last update that is being shown is 7 days old.

This is not a bug as I confirmed Gwibber is working on facebook in Ubuntu 10.10 for me.

Your problem either lies in your account settings in Gwibber or most likely in Facebook privacy settings

Please remove your Facebook account from Gwibber and then log into Facebook threw a browser and remove Gwibber completely under apps you use in the accounts / privacy settings section.

Now you can set your account back up in Gwibber.
When you log in you will be presented with the "Request for permission" screen from facebook.
Choose Allow and then go ahead and continue and connect.

You should now be receiving all of your Facebook feeds and have the ability to comment and post to your wall.

Changed in gwibber (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
To post a comment you must log in.
