It would be nice if Gwibber supported the Google URL shortening service at http://goo.gl/

I have looked into goo.gl and implementing support is really easy. But goo.gl does not have an official api at the moment. Gwibber could shorten urls with goo.gl just like the google toolbar does, however because it is not official there is no guarantee that it'll keep working.

I wrote a Python script that performs URL shortening via goo.gl. It should work with Gwibber and is mimicked after the other scripts. Include that if you like.
