Previously Gwibber was also failed to fetch twitter timeline, but it was fixed with an update.

i'm not sure if it has something to do with the new twitter OAuth.

Hi Giri:

Could you close the Gwibber and run it from bash shell through "gwibber-service -do" to see if it shows the same error messages as Jens listed here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+bug/617395

If the error messages looks the same, maybe you can try my patch mentioned in comment#2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gwibber/+bug/617395/comments/2 . It works for me. Hope it can solve your problem.

Mark

I had the same problem and I did the patching. However, it didn't change.
Gwibber won't update my Twitter stream.

On second thought, is this issue has something to do with Twitter using OAuth?

@Mark: apologize for really late reply, the output from gwibber-service -do available in the following link http://paste.ubuntu.com/486908/

@Omer: just my curiosity, why suggesting to use ubuntu-desktop ppa when it can be fix with gwibber daily builds?
