Bug Description
Binary package hint: gthumb
Ubuntu Hardy alpha 3
1. Connect a camera that contains photos.
2. When the "Photo Import" alert appears, right-click on the camera's icon on the desktop and choose "Unmount Volume".
What happens: The "Photo Import" alert remains visible, and clicking "Import Photos" opens a separate "Import Photos" dialog saying "No images found".
What should happen: If the camera is disconnected, the "Photo Import" alert should disappear automatically.

You need to justify why adding this autoclose functionality is useful. Seems like it could be annoying with multiple cameras, and doesn't add much. I suggest you take your case directly to the gthumb developers by report a bug here: bugzilla. gnome.org/ enter_bug. cgi?product= gthumb
