Bug Description
Binary package hint: gscan2pdf
Ubuntu 10.10 - the Maverick Meerkat
gscan2pdf 0.9.31-2
Once the "Scan" button in the "Scan Document" window is pressed, there is no way to stop the scanning process, even by pressing the "Cancel" button in the "Scanning..." window or "Close" button in the "Scan Document" window.
The scanner will continue scanning until it reaches the end of the scan size, say the size of an A4 paper. However, no image is produced once the scanning process is completed.
Force Quit is a bad idea. The scanner head stops abruptly in its current position instead of returning to its home position. To return the scanner head home, i simply ran Simple Scan. *still panicked though!*
Using a Canon CanoScan LiDE 25.
