Run update-grub 3. check /boot/grub/grub.cfg for the correct options Unfortunately I've only checked this on a 14.10 ppc64el machine, so this needs to be verified on a 14.04 machine, but I didn't want to lose this bug just in case. It seems to only affect ppc64el hardware.
